Join Clinical Policies Forum

Dark blue background with the ICS heart logo, and green, pink and blue dots.

An opportunity has arisen for three enthusiastic individuals with the right skills to join the Clinical Policies Forum. The Forum is seeking expressions of interest for two Lay Members and one Ethicist Member.

About the Clinical Policies Forum

The Clinical Policies Forum (CPF) is an advisory body to the Integrated Performance & Assurance Committee (known as IPAC) which is a sub-committee of the Governing Body which meets regularly to discuss the health needs of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and how to target them within the resources available.

General Lay Member opportunity

As a lay member it is important that you live in the geographical area served by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care System and have a very real interest in health in general, and in improving local health care in particular. You would need to have around of 1-1/2 days per quarter available to attend meetings. These are held every other month (starting in January) and last for approximately two hours. Please see job description below for further information.

Ethicist

The job description for the Ethicist role is similar to the lay member role in that it is voluntary. The Ethicist role differs in that this would suit someone who may be qualified, though this is not a necessity as it may suit someone who may be retired and has been involved in Ethics Committees previously.

If you are interested in applying/submitting an expression of interest you can find more information about the CPF on the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG web site: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough clinical commissioning Groups website.

Expressions of interest should be sent to Julie Istead, Clinical Policies Forum Manager: julie.istead@nhs.net.

For further information please see the job description or contact Julie Istead the Clinical Policies Forum Manager: julie.istead@nhs.net. Please see the CPF Terms of Reference on the CCG website.

Closing date for written expressions of interest: 15 July 2022
