NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough commission healthcare services on behalf of the local population and have a duty of care to ensure that those organisations that provide NHS funded healthcare can do so in a safe environment and meet the needs of vulnerable children and adults with care and support needs, in accordance with relevant legislative frameworks, statutory guidance and national policies.
It also needs to assure itself that the organisations from which they commission have effective safeguarding arrangements in place including primary care. Ensuring relevant safeguards are in place, which protects not only the residents we serve but also promotes confidence in staff, volunteers, carers and the general public.
The single point of contact can be used for all safeguarding concerns and/or queries, we do not accept safeguarding referrals.
