Elizabeth Disney's biography
Beginning her career as an NHS graduate management trainee, Elizabeth has held Executive and Board-level roles in the UK and New Zealand with a focus on quality improvement, population health, operational management and commissioning. Previous roles include that of Chief Operating Officer and Place Director, and subsequently Executive Director of Operations at Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB. Passionate about quality, Elizabeth is a trained Quality Improvement Adviser, and has completed a PhD on the factors which affect partnership working between health and care organisations.
Most recently, Elizabeth was the Chief Transformation Officer for Staffordshire and Stoke ICB where she held the executive portfolio for joint working with local authorities, MH/LD/A, CYP, frailty, end of life, long term conditions and neighbourhood services commissioning. Elizabeth will bring her technical knowledge of commissioning and passion for leadership to the Strategy, Planning and Evaluation Directorate where she looks forward to developing the ICB's role as a strategic commissioner.
