Cali Makewell, Integrated Vaccination Service Lead with NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, said: “It’s not too late to get a flu vaccine, and now is the perfect time to ensure you’re protected as we head into colder months. Even if you had a flu vaccine last winter, have never had a flu vaccine before or have never had flu before, it’s still worthwhile making sure you get vaccinated this winter.
“The flu vaccine takes approximately 14 days to give full protection, so by getting vaccinated this weekend, you can go into the festive season protected against flu. Our walk-in clinics this weekend offers a convenient opportunity to make sure you get your flu vaccine this winter.”
