Healthcare staff celebrated

10 exceptional health and care learners and educators have been recognised for their work through the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS) Practice Learning Awards.
Now in its second year, the Practice Learning Awards are an opportunity for health and care staff across the area to come together to celebrate the positive impact of apprentices, students, educators, practice assessors and others on learning experiences. Around 80 nominations were received this year from organisations including Anglia Ruskin University, local GP practices, and NHS Trusts, across a variety of categories from innovation, to advocacy for service users.
With learning supervised by multidisciplinary teams and registered health and care professionals, students and apprentices gain their practice learning through many methods, such as placements, classes and online workshops and webinars.
Emily Handley, System Education Lead at NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, part of the ICS, said: "It was incredibly inspiring to see the amazing applications we received this year, and selecting the winners was a very tough call.
“We’re grateful to everyone who submitted nominations, our incredible winners and all our brilliant finalists, for contributing to this excellent opportunity to learn from and share with each other, and to celebrate our achievements.”
Senior educators and leaders from across the ICS formed the judging panel, with the awards announced at a special event at the School of Clinical Medicine on Tuesday 1 July.
