Royal Papworth Hospital goes live with referral data feeds

Royal Papworth Hospital (RPH) has successfully connected its referral data to the Shared Care Record, enabling users across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICS area to see this valuable information. The addition of this data feed further expands the amount of patient information available for users from this specialist heart and lung hospital.

Sharing referral data in this way means that clinicians and other health and social care staff across our region can now see for the first-time details of any referrals received at RPH relating to a patient.

This follows the recent addition of clinical documents from RPH and complements the admissions, discharge and transfer (ADT) data that went live from RPH into the Shared Care Record at the end of 2024.

As a specialist hospital, RPH, provide services to people across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area and beyond.  Sharing patient information with other health and social care professionals who are treating them in other settings is therefore particularly important.

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Shared Care Record electronically connects patient information from GPs, local hospitals, social care, community, and mental health teams across our area, helping to make care better and safer.
