Royal Papworth Hospital (RPH) is now publishing clinical documents into the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Shared Care Record.  This milestone represents a breakthrough for information sharing and provides health and social care staff across the region access to clinical documentation from RPH for the first time.

Around 2,000 documents from RPH will be sent to the Shared Care Record each week and can be viewed from the person summary dashboard or via the CDV tree. Over the coming weeks, two years’ worth of historical documents will be published to further provide a more comprehensive view of care provided at RPH.

The types of documents being shared are varied and include letters (GP letters, outpatient clinic letters, follow up letters etc), clinical summaries and notes, assessment notices, discharge reports, and procedure notes.

The addition of these documents enriches the data already held within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Shared Care Record and provides users with an improved holistic view of a person’s current and on-going care at RPH.
